OUR FLORIDA COURT REPORTERS

  • Registered Professional Reporters (RPR)

    Our Florida Court Reporters have earned the right to add the title initials to their names. To be a Registered Professional Reporter, you have to pass the National Court Reporters Association's (NCRA) four-part examination. This is an exam administered to Court Reporters that shows proficiency (as in a board certified doctor, or board certified attorney) with a national benchmark. The registration is evidence that their skills are at an advanced level and that they are capable of reporting anything from a layman to a technical expert witness' testimony.

  • Realtime Reporters

    Certified Real-time Reporter (CRR) is a higher designation than RPR and requires a more stringent testing program. Real-time reporters are capable of supplying instant text to the attorneys via computer hookups, such as you see on closed captioning television. The testimony text is almost simultaneous with the spoken word. CRRs need to be requested when scheduling because their supply is in great demand.

  • On-Call Reporters

    Our office always has reporters who are actually available for last-minute calls from clients who have forgotten to schedule a Florida Court Reporter when needed or when their reporter failed to show up. This is a service that most agencies do not have.

  • Internet Depositions

    This is a deposition where a videographer and a Florida Court Reporter are synchronized during depositions. The video and audio signal is fed live through the internet to a location other than where the deposition is currently taking place. In this manner, attorneys at the other locations can take part and use an internet messaging client to present the attorneys with questions of their own, or just observe the deposition to get a feel for the live testimony of that witness. This service needs to be scheduled in advance.
